Back in the studio
Pride Subject hit the studio last week. Overall, things are going great. Aaron put in some loooooong hours as we were a bit under the gun to get as much done as we could. As of today, we've recorded six songs. They're all done minus guitar solos, vocals and of course the whole mixing process. Quite a few all nighters were pulled and we feel it helped lend to the overall vibe of the songs. Timmy was a beast behind the kit. Absolutely spot on.
We wanted to mix things up a bit so a lot of time was spent playing with different amps, eq's and guitars. Aaron's brother was kind enough to loan us some real nice guitars (Gibson Les Paul, Fender Stratocasters, Fender Telecasters). They really added to the sound.
These recordings are going to blow everything else we've recorded out of the water! Huge sound. Aaron really shined as a producer and engineer for the whole process.
We'll be heading back soon to start vocals and are currently in the process of finishing three new songs to add not only to the album, but also to our live sets.
We're excited and hope to have this all wrapped up before the end of this year. It's going to make way for a very busy and productive 2010.
Album artwork is done and it's just killer. Paul Bird from www.avisualparadox.com really caught the vibe we were going for in the photo sessions and album cover artwork.
We can't wait to share this with the rest of you as soon as we can!
